My name is David. One day I decided to go with my friends Fred and Tom to the beach. Fred and I went for a swim and then we had lunch on the sand. After lunch, we began to play football but we soon got bored.
“What shall we do now?” asked Fred, who was the youngest. "I know!” I said. 'Let's play pirates!" We all agreed it was a very good idea. "I will be Long John Silver!” shouted Tom. And we will be the pirates who find the treasure!" I shouted.
There were many small caves on the beach and Fred and I ran into the biggest. At first, I was afraid because it was very dark and we couldn't see anything. Fred then told me he had a torch. “That's good," I said. Now we can see where the treasure is!" Then I began to look for gold and silver in the sand. Suddenly, Fred began to shout “I've found gold" I laughed and told him it was just a game. Fred looked angry and then started to cry. No, this is the treasure!"
Because Fred was unhappy, I went to say “sorry" to him. But when I saw what he had in his hand, I got very excited. "I don't believe it, Fred! You are right! It is a treasure! We must go and tell the grown-ups!”
