A long time , there was a lot of water on Mars, people think, but now there is no water in the rivers or lakes. There may big lakes of ice somewhere on Mars, but people haven't found yet.

People have sent cameras to take pictures of Mars, but has ever been there. It takes about a year for the camera to get there through space. The photographs come from the planet show only rocks and mountains. There have never been photographs of little green men!

Vicky and Jack and their exciting presents!

But Vicky and Jack didn't like cleaning their teeth. It was boring. And they loved chocolate and sweets!

One day, Mrs. Green said, 'Next week, we are going to go and see the dentist. If you have very good teeth, I'll give you both something very nice.' Vicky and Jack were very excited when she said that. They cleaned their teeth very carefully after breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day.

'Perhaps she'll give me a new bicycle,' said Vicky to her brother. 'Perhaps I'll have a new kite,' said Jack to his sister. They talked about their presents every night when they went to bed.

When they each sat in the dentist's chair, he looked into their mouths and said, 'Everything is fine. Your teeth look very strong and white. Excellent!' The children felt excited. 'What will our presents be?' they whispered in the back of the car on the way home.

When they arrived, Mrs. Green smiled and said, 'You've been very good.' Then she opened the cupboard and gave them new pink toothbrushes. Vicky and Jack weren't very happy!

From: Jodie

To: Bryony

Hi Bryony, I am glad you can come to the cinema on Saturday. The film starts either 7.30 or 8.30. If you come to my house at about 7 p.m., we can go to the earlier one together. I know you not been to my new house in Mill Road before, but it’s easy to find. It’s the left, opposite the café. It’s older any other house in the street and it’s tallest building there.

Love, Jodie.
