Dear Jenny,
The weather today is perfect for flying a kite. Do you want to go to the park with me? I think the wind is blowing just right so that our kites would fly really well in the sky. My dad just bought me a new red and orange one that I want to try out. If you want to join me after your swimming lesson, let me know.
Sincerely,
Kayla.

Read the following story.
As soon as Luke opened his eyes in the morning, he jumped out of bed. He and his family were vacationing with his best friend Amy and her family. It was their first day of sightseeing in Shanghai and he wanted to see as much as possible.
After Luke had showered and dressed, he stopped by Amy’s room and knocked on the door. Amy answered it a moment later. Luke smiled at his friend. Amy looked as if she was ready, except for one thing. She was still in her pajamas.
“I’ll wait for you downstairs so you can finish getting ready,” Luke said.
“I am ready,” Amy replied. “Let's go eat breakfast.’’
“But you’re still in your pajamas,’’ Luke said.
“Yes, of course,” Amy said. “People in Shanghai are known to wear pajamas outside the home. It has been a city tradition since western-style pajamas were introduced by foreigners in the 1970s.”
Luke laughed. It was hard to believe what his friend was saying was true.
“Trust me, wearing pajamas outside is a fashion trend in Shanghai,” Amy said. “Everyone does it.”

The game wasn’t going well. It was the semi-finals of the National Middle School Soccer Championship. There were only five minutes left in the game and David’s team, the Grovefield Gorillas was losing. The score was 2-1. “Come on Grovefield,” shouted David’s friends.
“Come on, David! You can do it!” But David had no confidence. He was tired and his whole body ached. His family wasn't even at the game to cheer him on. Worst of all, he had lost his lucky shirt. There was no way his team could win now.
But at least his team had the ball.
Billy Harris passed it to Craig Willard. Craig kicked the ball over the goalie's head. It went in! The score was tied 2-2! David began to feel better about the game.
As they were restarting the game, David saw his family car suddenly pull up in the parking lot. His parents and his brother Jack ran out of the car.
“David!" Dad shouted. “I found ... I found your lucky shirt!” He ran over to David.
As David quickly put on the shirt, he asked, “Where did you find it?”
“It was under Jack’s bed. Now go win!”
David picked up the ball and ran into the penalty box. There were only five seconds left in the game! He shot the ball - GOOOOAAAALLLLLL!

Most animals have a way to protect themselves from their enemies. A skunk is a very smelly creature. When it senses danger, it will spray a stinky oily liquid onto its enemies and run away.
A porcupine, on the other hand, will raise and spread its quills when it is attacked by another animal. It will charge towards the animal by moving backwards such that its prickly quills are facing the enemy. It is an act of defence. It also attacks if it has to.
Interestingly, some animals, like the grass snakes or the opossums, try to play dead to escape from their enemies.
