Dear Mrs. Joe,

I am sorry I lost the science textbook that you had issued to me so that I could finish my homework. And I was supposed to return it on Monday which is today in the morning.

Last Friday, when I came to your desk to take it, I did not put it right away in my bag. I held it in my hand and then the school bus came. I just remembered that I was very sleepy and I thought I left it behind on the bus.

I am going to ask the driver if he saw the book in the bag and also ask the other students if they could have taken the book. I know I will be able to get it because it is stamped, and this will make it easy to find it. Once I find it, I will give you a report about how far I have gone on finding it by evening. I promise to be more careful in handling things later.

Yours sincerely,

Janet Greg.

My parents and I are going to Singapore, for almost ten days. Think about it! I will see an entirely new country, a new culture, meet new people and get a taste of new cuisines. When my father told me about the trip, immediately, I set about planning the whole itinerary.

I wanted to share this exciting news with you. I will write after returning from Singapore and let you know about my experiences. Please send my regards to your parents.

Your loving friends,

Nim.
