Light plays such an important part in our everyday lives. So it is not that light is celebrated throughout the year on holidays, at , and in ceremonies all over the world. One of the famous holidays to pay tribute to light is India's Diwali. It celebrates the victory of light over , and good over evil. The sari is commonly worn by Indian women. It is made of a piece of cloth that is 4.5 to 6 meters long. Saris can be worms in many different ways. Women can wear the sari like a skirt or throw the top part over their shoulders. They can also wear it as a veil or a head cover! Working women can wrap the bottom part around their legs like pants.

The ao dai is Vietnam's national costume for women. The costume features wide trousers and a long, tight tunic top. The tunic is split on the sides so that the wearer can move easily. Its color varies depending on the age of the person wearing it. Young girls wear white, and unmarried women wear pastel shades. Married women wear rich-colored tops with simple black or white pants.

The kilt is a traditional Scottish cloth worn by men since the 16th century. Usually knee-length, this piece of cloth is wrapped around man's hips and legs. Each clan uses its own check-patterned design to distinguish itself from other clans. Even today, men can still be seen wearing kilts in both casual and formal situations.
