The First Films
The brothers Louis and Auguste Lumiere were the first people in the world to make moving pictures. December 2th, 1895, in Paris, they showed a "movie" in a cinema for the first time using a machine the Cinematographe.

Tsunami
The large movement of the earth under the water causes a very large and powerful tsunami. That tsunami was called the Asian Tsunami in most of the world. It was called the Boxing Day Tsunami in England, Australia, South Africa, and Canada because it happened on the holiday called Boxing Day. The tsunami caused a lot of damage to countries such as the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka.
Waves as high as 30 meters killed many people and damaged or destroyed a lot of buildings and other properties. Over 225000 people died or were not found after the tsunami. The waves traveled as far away as South Africa (8000 kilometers) where as many as people died because of high water caused by the waves. Because much damage was caused and the number of people was affected by the earthquake, over $7 billion was donated to help the survivors and rebuild the areas damaged.
