Một số câu hỏi thường gặp:

Một số câu trả lời ví dụ:

Absolutely, I am always keen on mastering some new languages because I believe language skills are the key to opportunities. You know, if I am bilingual or multilingual, I can travel to other parts of the world with ease and expand my horizon while talking to people from different countries.

My mother tongue/ first language is Vietnamese. Besides, I can speak English at a conversational level. When I speak a language, I feel like I am part of that culture. For instance, when I speak English, I usually get straight to the point while the Vietnamese often beat around the bush.

I think the most effective way to learn a language is to practice more with a native speaker. By doing this, you can improve both listening and oral skills simultaneously, you will be fluent in this language. Besides, I also do general readings in my spare time and keep a journal in English.

Question: Describe a language other than English that you would like to learn.

You should say:

  • What the language is
  • Where it is spoken
  • What you think would be difficult
  • And what would be easy about learning the language and explain why you would like to learn it

Learning a second language not only adds up your skills but also offers enormous benefits for your brain and personal growth. Additionally, being bilingual or multilingual expands your knowledge across the country’s border and provides you easy access to the understanding of other cultures. Therefore, besides English, Spanish sits high on my must-learn list due to its wide application and beautiful culture.

Needless to say, Spanish is one of the most spoken languages in the world and one of the six official languages used in United Nations conferences and statements. Spanish is spoken in most countries in South and Central America and in the US, over 50 million people are using Spanish either as their mother tongue or second language. As a result, knowing Spanish would absolutely widen your horizon, develop your sense of appreciation for Hispanic culture as well as transform your travel experience as who knows when you would bump into some Spanish friends on your adventure.

Many have said that Spanish is one of the easiest languages to learn thanks to its phonetic pronunciation and its similarity with English, in terms of vocabulary. However, it’s easier said than done. No matter how simple and intriguing that may sound, without full commitment and self-discipline, being able to speak Spanish would be a far-fetched idea. Therefore, in order to meet my goal and not to get demotivated along the way, I would have to find a learning partner and we would fight this tough war together.

Câu trả lời ví dụ:

Not only a language teacher in particular but educators in other areas should have certain skills and knowledge to successfully inspire and instruct their students. First and foremost, of course, deep knowledge and great education matter. It’s often said that “a teacher is only as good as his knowledge is”. People may not need academic degrees or certificates in other jobs or industries, but in education and training, they are solid proof to verify your professional qualifications. Furthermore, communication skill also plays an essential role. If one is an articulate and persuasive speaker, he will be able to convey his lectures with better results. Last but not least, a good sense of humor may be of great help to grab students’ attention and interest.

Due to its several evident benefits, learning foreign languages has become more than just a hobby, to the point that it is now a trend in modern society. Speaking more than one language can provide job seekers with a plethora of opportunities, especially if that language is extensively used in the business sector. Furthermore, being bilingual or multilingual will allow you to expand your social network globally. While traveling, you can form deep bonds and cross-cultural friendships with international coworkers or the locals. The learning process itself will also be considerably helpful in boosting your brainpower, reducing the risks of memory loss.

It is no doubt a yes. Without language, you cannot communicate with the locals - this makes living there a total hassle. Some may argue that English is all we need since it’s now the lingua franca, however, in countries such as Japan, Germany or China, the majority of citizens don’t use English so you should learn some Japanese or German before you go there. Moreover, having a basic understanding of a certain culture can increase your cultural sensitivity. It can help you avoid misunderstanding and embarrassment.

Một số câu trả lời:

I phone them on a daily basis. Almost everyone got themselves a cellphone these days so it’s not a big deal for us to stay in touch. It’s convenient because you can talk on the phone while doing other things such as cooking, doing laundry or even walking the dog.

Recently I prefer to text messages because, unlike phone calls, the person you’re contacting doesn’t feel like they need to respond right away. If they’re in the middle of something, they might wait a few hours to respond, but the conversation will continue despite the interruption.

Oh yeah, it’s pretty fun, and it’s one of the few times I’d write something with my fountain pens. There are some instances where a text or email seems rather impersonal. Love letters, thanks, welcome, farewells, etc. are really nice when handwritten.

Mẫu câu trả lời:

Question: Describe how you like to communicate with your friends

You should say:

  • Why you choose such a way to communicate with your friends
  • What the advantages are
  • What the disadvantages of using that means of communication are

Thanks to the rapid development of modern technology, there are various means of communication nowadays. Besides the traditional methods of communication which include face-to-face communication and letters, we now have fax machines, computers, and so on. However, I personally feel that using the phone is the best mean of communication. And because of that, I use my phone on a daily basis in order to call or to text my friends. Sometimes, I imagine that a day going by without my phone must be really challenging for me.

There are many advantages of using a phone. We can catch up with a friend without actually meeting the friend personally. Phones tend to save us a great deal of time if they are used properly. For instance, if I want to contact a group of friends for a school project, I simply create a chat group through iMessage. It’s a very convenient way for iPhone users to get in touch with each other without any cost. It also allows all users to send out voice messages, pictures, and emojis! To me, it’s not just an effective but also a fun way to communicate.

I can’t deny that there are certain disadvantages when it comes to phones. The most obvious one is that people waste a lot of time and money by talking on the phone for hours. As a result, people can get addicted to it and forget what’s happening around them. However, in my opinion, phones used with limitations can make life much easier.

Mẫu câu hỏi:

Một số câu trả lời:

Well, it really depends, if you’re talking about hanging out with friends that I haven’t seen for ages, or if it’s an important occasion where a lot of people get together to celebrate a very important event in our lives, then I would definitely love to engage in a conversation with people around me. However, there are lots of occasions when chatting face to face is impossible. For example, most of my best friends are not living in Taiwan, so I can only text them. Sometimes if you have business partners overseas, you can only use conference calls or text messages to contact vendors outside of Taiwan, so it depends on the situation.

While talking on the phone is more convenient, in-person conversations seem more efficient and productive in terms of getting the message across. It might be a bit difficult to convey a full range of emotions when conversing through an electronic device because words and intonation are the only means. By contrast, with face-to-face communication, people can use eye contact, facial expression, and body gesture to make sure their verbal and non-verbal messages are correctly perceived. That’s why misunderstanding is less likely to happen when people meet and talk in person.

I personally think that the methods of communication won’t change much in the future, though I think they will get more efficient. We now have everything that we need to communicate, varying from phones, laptops, and tablets. Perhaps in the coming years, people will no longer need to actually meet each other anymore and most of the everyday conversations will take place online through electrical devices.
